  • Hardiness zone: 5-9
  • Flower color: Pink with lavender undertones
  • Bloom time: Late spring to early autumn

Plantation

  1. Site selection: Choose a location with well-draining soil and full sun exposure (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day).
  2. Soil preparation: Loosen the soil and enrich it with organic matter, such as compost or well-rotted manure.
  3. Spacing: Plant roses 24-36 inches (60-90 cm) apart to allow for proper air circulation.
  4. Planting: Dig a hole twice the width and depth of the root ball, and position the plant so the graft union is 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) above soil level. Fill the hole with soil and water thoroughly.

Growing

  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, providing 1-1.5 inches (2.5-3.8 cm) of water per week, especially during dry periods.
  • Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and again in mid-summer.
  • Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead, damaged, or diseased canes and to shape the plant. Cut back canes by one-third to one-half their length.

Care

  • Pest control: Inspect plants regularly for common rose pests, such as aphids, Japanese beetles, and spider mites. Use insecticidal soap or other targeted treatments as needed.
  • Disease prevention: Maintain good air circulation and avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal diseases, such as black spot and powdery mildew. Apply a fungicide as a preventive measure or at the first sign of disease.
  • Winter protection: In colder climates, provide winter protection by mounding soil or mulch around the base of the plant and covering with burlap or frost cloth.

Benefits

  • Aesthetic appeal: Rose Paradise plants add a touch of elegance to any garden with their exquisite blooms and attractive foliage.
  • Cut flowers: The long-lasting, fragrant blooms make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements.
  • Pollinator attraction: The flowers attract pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, promoting biodiversity in the garden.
  • Therapeutic benefits: Gardening with roses can provide a sense of accomplishment, stress relief, and opportunities for exercise and relaxation.
