The Longan tree, scientifically known as Dimocarpus longan, is a tropical tree that belongs to the Sapindaceae family. The 'Red Colour' variant is a special cultivar known for its strikingly red fruits. Native to Southeast Asia, this tree produces aromatic fruits that are sweet and juicy.


Plantation:

  1. Choosing the Site: Choose a well-drained location with good sunlight.
  2. Soil Preparation: Longans prefer slightly acidic to neutral pH levels (6.0-7.5). Amend soil with organic matter for improved fertility.
  3. Planting: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, position the tree, and refill the hole. Water thoroughly.
