Plant Description:

- A dwarf shrub with horizontal, quadrangular, tomentose branches attaining a height of 1.5 m.
- Leaves opposite, ovate, 6-10 cm long, toothed, acute, tomentose on both surfaces, upper surface deep green.
- Flowers bluish purple, funnel-shaped in terminal or axillary clusters, bracts oval, showy pinkish purple, persistent, corolla tube 2 cm long, lobes 5, bluish violet, 1.5 cm across.
- The showy bracts of this dwarf shrub, which appear during summer and rains, look like flowers.
